Alans music life started as a lunch time hobby in high school. Two belt driven turntables, a 2 channel mixer and 6 records were what the school had, and this is where Alan taught himself how to mix.
Besides being the DJ for his school events, Alan began truely learning his trade with local gigs around central Scotland. Having been known for his mixes and parties he had played at, Alan had managed to bag himself a gig at Room At The Top, in Bathgate. This followed on and Alan ended up playing several clubs around the central belt. Withing 24 months Alan had himself supporting some of the top names in the industry. Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Simon Patterson, Sean Tyas, John O'callaghan, Greg Downey, Jordan Suckley, Anne Savage, Mauro Picotto, Marcel Woods... the list goes on. All names Alan has had the pleaseure of playing alongside. Alan eventually ended up playing regularly for Scotlands largest dance event francise, Colours. Throughout his time playing for Colours he had played at the Armin Van Buuren world tour, the Tiesto world tour, and Scotlands largest dance event, Coloursfest. Glasgows iconic nightclub, The Arches also hosted Colours events and Alan played regularly here.
As Alans career continued to grow, he started producing music. With many tracks doing very well, such as support from Paul Van Dyk at the EDC in L.A, to judge jules support on Radio 1, to Sean Tyas and John Digweed supporting in sets as well as many more, Alans productions started to get recognition. Eventually Alans collaberation with Barry Jay, was signed to Goodgreef Digital. Alans "Gifted Soul" track also received a 5 star review in the highly respected DJ Mag. Now Alan hosts his very own podcast, aired on Afterhours.FM, the worlds leading internet trance station, bringing you the best in past and present trance music. So as Alans career continues to thrive, with one of his latest remixes reaching number 1 in the trackitdown vocal trance charts... you will be seeing a lot more of Alan... stay tuned!
